// Notes

Taped & Transferred by Ballsdeep Notes: This is a fresh new transfer from the Master tape made in June of '15. Taper Notes: this show was Pantera's first visit to Alaska (they came also in '01, I got 90 minutes of that nearly 2 hour show, LONG story, as most of mine are...). you can most definitely hear it in their performance, they were stoked. It was hot in July for Anchorage (near 80 outside), the Sullivan arena was set up as a "half house" where the stage was set at half-court and curtains were hung. while this reduced capacity to 4500 (vs. 8750), it also made for a better tape, as there was less 'space' for the metal riffs to hit the concrete walls, making for less reverb echo (the Sully was built in the early 70's, and is a concrete hockey vault, nothing more). while it wasn't sold out, I believe 3500-3800 tickets were sold. from the opening strains of "Cowboys From Hell" to the final notes of "Fucking Hostile", it was a 75 minute juggernaut to the face. also includes a rarely played "I Can't Hide" from the "Official Live: 101 Proof." live album. Props to Lasting_dose for the upload.
