Operation: Livecrime November 1991 Soundboard Dat Master

// Description

I purchased this silver CD a couple years back, numbered "Limited edition # 046", and to my knowledge this recording has largely flown under the radar. Sadly, the 1st half of the show has never surfaced. Recently found the CD/show notes on a Japanese site, and cleaned them up a bit for coherence sake. "Queensrÿche – Operation: Livecrime November 1991 Dat Master", is a completely different recording from both the 1991 “Operation:Livecrime” release, and the bonus "Hammersmith Odeon" disc from November 15,1990, found on the 2006 "Operation:Mindcrime" deluxe CD. Although the exact performance location is unknown, due to the master DAT recording only listing “11/1991”, it is a stereo soundboard recording, recorded directly from the mixing desk by band officials at the time. In terms of sound quality, it is a super-excellent level that should be labeled “official class”, but it is completely different from the two official recordings. For example, “Operation:Livecrime” was a dynamic sound making with plenty of echoes that remained in the 80’s feeling, the Hammersmith performance, released in 2006 reflected that era of the "loudness war" heyday. "Queensrÿche – Operation: Livecrime November 1991 Dat Master" is direct from the mixing table itself at the concert site, and is a soundboard DAT recording. There is no intentional processing to reproduce the atmosphere of the concert, and there are no sound enhancements. Of additional interest is the inclusion of the tracks, “Della Brown” and “Last Time In Paris”.
